Program Highlights

  • Year-round program and designed for USTA National level players, ITF tournament players, and players enrolled in distance learning
  • Players participate in a minimum of 3.5 hours of tennis training daily, plus one hour of fitness training
  • Coaching at select Sectional and National tournaments, individualized fitness training, mental training with a certified sports psychologist
  • Players who attend the JTCC School in addition to full-time training will work with JTCC School Director to establish a school schedule
  • College counseling for juniors and seniors, and after-school tutoring

Full-Time Champs Program

The Full-Time Champs program offers year-round training for USTA National level players, ITF tournament participants, and students engaged in distance learning. Since 1999, more than 300 JTCC graduates have collectively earned over $25 million in scholarships and financial aid to prestigious colleges and universities. These accomplished athletes are well-prepared to tackle the challenges of competing at the highest levels of collegiate tennis while pursuing their education at renowned institutions such as Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, the University of Virginia, UCLA, the University of North Carolina, Duke, and Stanford.

Structured Schedules for Student-Athletes at JTCC

The coaching staff establishes practice schedules, and players collaborate with the School Director to create customized academic plans. Each athlete works with a Full-Time Champs coach/mentor to develop a player development plan, including quarterly progress meetings. A sample weekday schedule includes:

Sample Schedule (Monday – Friday):

  • School: 7:30 – 10:00 am
  • Tennis: 10:00 – 11:30 am
  • Fitness: 11:30 – 12:30 pm
  • Lunch: 12:30 – 1:00 pm
  • School: 1:00 – 2:00 pm
  • Tennis: 2:00 – 4:00 pm
  • School: 4:00 – 6:00 pm

JTCC Alumni Success: The Results Speak For Themselves

Since the first JTCC class graduated in 2003, our players have secured scholarships to over 130 outstanding colleges and universities. JTCC provides a pathway for talented young athletes to gain acceptance to top institutions, with every graduate from the Champions program earning scholarships to Division I programs or facilitated acceptance into Division III or Ivy League schools. Notably, 16 JTCC graduates have been part of NCAA Championship-winning teams, showcasing the success and potential of our alumni in both academics and athletics.

The JTCC School

The JTCC School offers an accredited on-site education for Full-Time players, creating an academic environment tailored to high-performance athletes. Mark Santangelo, the Director of the JTCC School, who holds a B.A. in History from Yale University and is currently ABD for his M. Phil. in American History at George Washington University, supervises academic progress and ensures timely graduation. JTCC partners with Laurel Springs School to provide an NCAA-approved curriculum, flexible programming, and essential support to help athletes excel academically and meet eligibility requirements.
